Storybook Wedding in Laguna Beach

Kym and Jason Storybook Wedding - At Seven-Degrees Laguna Beach wedding venue

Every couple who comes to us has a story. As fellow daydreamers, we were honored to help tell the fantastical adventure of Kym and Jason in their very own storybook wedding. They joined us at our Laguna Beach wedding venue to exchange vows amid magical decor inspired by the Harry Potter books.

We loved the challenge of creating this storybook-land at our Laguna Beach wedding venue and worked together with Found Vintage Rentals and Inviting Occasion to ensure guests felt the “Timeless Romance” Kym and Jason had envisioned.

We resourced our state-of- the art lighting and visual technology to highlight vintage suitcases, rustic books, purple and pink flowers, and soft glowing candles. A vision as unique as this gave us the opportunity to run wild with imagination.

The contrast of our modern architecture against the romantic decor made for a whimsical feel. Pages from old books were repurposed and used to decorate the dessert table as well as the centerpieces. Some hanging from the ceiling, others on display waiting for a guest to turn the page.

027 The tables were named from fantasy adventures like Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Gargoyles, and Back to the Future; all stories they grew up admiring. Each played a part in creating their Dream Wedding in our main event space.

031049Lighting played a key role in creating a fantasy land that transcended genres while still maintaining a uniform and intentional theme. At the end of the night, Jason and Kym pulled away in a classic Delorean with their future on the road before them, and their Happily Ever After just beginning.059
